Two debate teams from New York City and Baltimore will debate Resolved: The U.S. federal government should substantially increase investment for transportation infrastructure. The National Association of Urban Debate Leagues works to promote education equity in urban high schools by facilitating policy debate, which is a highly efficient and cost-effective extracurricular activity. Urban debate leagues operate in 19 cities; 87% of debaters are minorities and 78% come from low-income households.
